nicole & raymond
the revery, downtown los angeles
nicole & raymond shared their first date in a hammock under a starry, cloudy night, and they chose to recreate that vibe on their wedding day. kari at feathered arrow events helped design & facilitate this gorgeous event at the revery, a white-walled event space in the heart of the arts district in los angeles. the building sits high above the city, letting in soft natural light, and marries the industrial to the refined.
brad at stagelabs designed a lighting scheme that incorporated a plethora of disco balls and puffy “clouds” hand-made by the bride herself to create a feeling of being high in the sky. going steady studios showed up & showed out with insane floral creations of all colors, adding surreal elements to the dreamscape with bittermelon, funky florals, and sour gummy worms. the guests came perfectly on theme in a variety of colors, with the wedding party & family honoring the couple’s filipino heritage in bright, traditional garb.
after a heartfelt ceremony in the revery’s outdoor covered courtyard, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour complete with custom heart pin favors from your stuff made and a kaleidoscope-inspired photo booth by smilebooth. their one-year-old son, rook, kept everyone entertained by being adorable, of course. the dance floor was packed the entire night, where nicole debuted a second bridal look by kamperett and critic’s choice catering brought out a late-night snack of gourmet hot dogs. a projector loaded with old family photos provided plenty of nostalgia, a special touch to round out the colorful, hazy, dreamy vibes curated by such an incredible team of vendors.
