marilia & james wanted to show off the city of santa barbara to their guests — all of whom came from out of town, even all the way from marilia’s home country of australia, to celebrate their nuptials. what’s a better way to explore than renting the santa barbara trolley to cart you around?

the couple exchanged vows outside of the iconic santa barbara courthouse, arguably the state’s most beautiful courthouse that boasts lush gardens, a stunning clock tower, and classic spanish-style architecture. james, an english teacher, wrote an adorable poem/rap that he performed for his new wife in front of 25 of their closest family & friends (and, of course, their puppy, noodle.) after the ‘i do’, everyone piled in the trolley for a ride around santa barbara. the couple provided individual picnic bags to each guest, complete with famous australian snacks. the rest of the day consisted of riding around, popping champagne, and taking in the views from the beach all before a late-afternoon lunch to celebrate.
