kim & nathaniel

resident, downtown los angeles

kim & nathaniel’s mutual love for music made their wedding venue, resident, an easy choice. it doubles as both an event space and a live music venue, with an outdoor beer garden/courtyard that feels like an oasis in the middle of the industrial neighborhood. the couple wanted to prioritize giving their guests a vibrant party, complete with good food & good tunes.

bride kim wore a sweet, classic strapless dress with mile-high white patent leather boots and her bubblegum pink hair braided with a bow. nathaniel showed his own personal style in an emerald green suit with a leather bolo tie, both thrifted. they exchanged vows on the stage, where they planted a tree together to bring home to their front yard as a symbol of their commitment. after the ‘i do’, they escaped briefly to the rooftop, a plant-lover’s paradise complete with a vintage airstream, which is privately owned and was generously opened to the newlyweds.

guests enjoyed drinks in the beer garden along with pizza from LA-favorite quarter sheets and the lime truck tacos. kim & nathaniel cut a sweetheart cake from house of gluten before heading inside to use the music venue for what it’s built for: dancing, to the soundtrack of dj tc milan.
